The Wagons / The Science Project
The Grade 3 students
finished another Science project:' called:
“The Wagons”, which
is part of our Science unit we have been studying: “Building with Different
Materials. “
The
wagons were an indispensable part of the first pioneers who crossed Canada from
East to West. It was the emigrants’ practice to pack all their belongings, or at
least all of them they could take with them, in canvas-covered wagons. The
wagons were usually drawn by oxen or horses.
By
building and discussing about the pioneers journey and their struggles in
search of a better life, the Grade 3 students learnt to
appreciate the history of our country and the sacrifice made by the first
emigrants who populated the beautiful country we live on nowadays.
The students enjoyed a lot this project. They will bring it home tomorrow.
We celebrated today William birthday and we all congratulated him wishing him the best.
Joyeux anniversaire, William !
